The locomotive Stowe was built in 1934 at a cost of £5,000 for use on the Southern Railways (UK) London to Portsmouth run. The locomotive changed hands to British Railways and when withdrawn in 1962 for scrap it was bought by Beaulieu Motor Mueseum, it was then moved to two different railways, East Somerset Railway and the Bluebell Railway then it was bought by the Maunsell Locomotive Society and is currently on static display at Sheffield Park.
