Bonnie Prince Charlie (Didcot Railway Centre) is a small 0-4-0 tank engine preserved at the Didcot Railway Centre.

History[]

The loco was built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns in 1951 with her identical sister locomotive Western Pride She was used by Messrs. Coral on Poole Quay for shunting the gas works. After her working career she was purchased for preservation by the Salisbury Steam Trust in 1969 and came to Didcot shortly afterwards where she saw a little use before she was restored again for the 1985 season. Nowerdays she has a vacuum brake and has seen use on passenger duty.
